The fastest growing operating system on the planet.
Linux has an "open" architecture which means there is nothing hidden that could be a possible security risk or stability issue.
This means ther are a lot more people available to test it, to make sure it is stable and secure.
Most of the Internet is built on Unix-like operating systems, because it is a lot more secure, a lot more stable, a lot cheaper ( free ) and
pretty much virus free, compaired to Micro$oft efforts.
This part of Davids-Website.com has pages on The Amiga, Linux and Micro$oft stories, all written around 15 years ago.
I started off with Amiga, but some years later moved into the world of x86 architecture and Linux ( bypassing windows ) then FreeBSD.
